Reformer equipment at Pilates for Life studio

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this studio different than other studios?

There are a variety of Pilates teaching styles. This studio uses a contemporary style of Pilates called STOTT PILATES®.

By design, I am the only instructor; so you will have access to the entire studio and its equipment. No distractions or interruptions. The studio's size and quiet setting provide an intimate, peaceful space devoted to you and your workout.

Am I too old for Pilates?

You're never too old to begin Pilates. Many of the benefits of Pilates, like strength, stability, balance, and range of motion are very helpful as we age. Pilates is also a lower impact exercise compared to other forms of exercise. I work with clients of all ages and will design a plan for you based on your needs and ability. If you have any pre-existing conditions or have not been active for a while, I do recommend you check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise.

How do I sign up for a session?

You can sign up by scheduling online with the "Schedule Appointment" button or by contacting me directly. My information is available on the "Contact" page. Looking forward to hearing from you!

What do I bring to the studio?

When it comes to what clothing to wear to a session, remember comfort and flexibility. Avoid clothing with zippers, buckles, buttons, belts, etc. Shoes are not worn during the session. You may work out barefoot or with socks. I recommend wearing socks that have grips on the bottom to provide traction while using the equipment. Water is available in the studio, but feel free to bring a water bottle if you wish. As far as equipment goes, I will provide everything you'll need.

Where do I park?

Parking is quick, easy, and convenient. There is an on-site parking lot with numerous spaces. Parking spaces in the front of the building also provide easy access to the studio.
